The South Baltimore Youth Soccer League (SBYSL) intends to promote recreational youth soccer for the children of the area to further develop their soccer skills, healthy living habits and good sportsmanship by providing quality coaching and officiating. It is the mission of the SBYSL to develop, deploy, and maintain a comprehensive program for the development and promotion of the game of soccer for the youth of Locust Point, Federal Hill, South Baltimore, and surrounding areas. The programs main focus is to provide a second to none soccer league for the youth of South Baltimore, with constant emphasis on broadening the horizon of our youth, creating well-balanced, successful individuals who desire and are capable of making a real contribution in a team environment, throughout their lives, regardless of gender, physical abilities or background, through instruction of the technical, tactical, physical and psychological aspects of soccer. It is our hope that a large proportion of these individuals will pursue the sport through their teen age years and on into adult life. This League has been established as a non-profit and educational organization. The League shall provide a governing structure to administer youth soccer and shall provide a vehicle to communicate information to players, parents, coaches, referees, and other interested parties
South Baltimore Youth Soccer is recognized as the premiere youth soccer league where every player can expect an optimal learning environment with consistently superior coaching, training facilities, and equipment. Parents and guardians acknowledge that the SBYSL consistently demonstrates it’s leadership in providing easy to understand and accessible player programs and volunteer opportunities which are exceptionally well conceived and organized and supported by clear timely communications.
