Good Evening SBYSL Families!!

Just a couple of reminders for this week:

Picture Day – Sept 28th

Players should have received picture forms last week. We are asking all players/teams to arrive 10 minutes prior to your picture time. The Photographer check in table will be near our grass fields. Photographer(s) will be stationed against the back hill behind the 7yr old & 6 yr old fields. Pictures will move smoothly if all teams/players are ready at their designated time.

Parents are not obligated to purchase pictures, however, we are encouraging all players to participate in a team photo.

Saturday, Sept 28th at Francis Scott Key – the DBFA’s 12th Annual School and Children’s Programming Fair, 9:30 am – 12:30 pm. Registration requested. https://dbfa.z2systems.com/np/clients/dbfa/event.jsp?event=36&

Our Players:

All our players are asked to arrive 15 mins before their game time in uniform, ready to play. SHIN GUARDS are mandatory (wear under socks)!! All players need them. Soccer cleats (non metal) are mandatory for ages 6 & Up, our 3’s, 4’s & 5’s can wear sneakers. Bring plenty of water to stay hydrated. Sunscreen is also suggested.

Concessions:

This week we are honored to have Francis Scott Key/Elementary Middle School selling snacks and drinks. Bring cash, (as of typing, not sure they can accept credit) and support one of our local schools.

PARKING:

Parking is available for our SBYSL Families on Decatur St, on FSK parking lot and behind FSK School, along Andre St and on the Parking Lot adjacent to Banner Field. PLEASE do not park on Latrobe Park Terrace! This is a residential street convenient to the fields, however it is very small and we want to be kind to our neighbors by not taking their parking spots.

Bathrooms:

The Locust Point Rec Center should be open on Saturdays. Unfortunately, we found out the bath house is not “officially” opened for us to use just yet.

Parents:

Parents & Spectators at Banner Field are being reminded to stay in the stands and behind the black fencing to watch games. Parents are not allowed on the field.

Parents & Spectators of our 6yr old & 7 yr old games are asked to sit opposite field of the players. This helps the coaches to have the player’s attention and they stay on their player bench.

All parents are asked to be encouraging to all our players. Remember, this is a FUN league!!!

Monitor our website (sbysl.com) and our Facebook page (The Official South Baltimore Youth Soccer League) for all league updates.
