Greetings SBYSL Families!!!
Thank YOU for registering your child with SBYSL. We look to be starting the season with 500+ players this year!!
The Board is still working out the planning for the season. We appreciate your patience.
If you have volunteered (THANK YOU) to be a coach, assistant coach or referee, you will be receiving an email from JDP to conduct your background check. Everyone will need to do a background check to be able to be on the fields with our kids.
Tentatively - Week of August 9th – Coaches will gather for the drafting process
Tentatively – Week of August 18th – Practices will start
Week of Sept 6th – Coaches will pick up team uniforms

Fields and game times:
All games will be played on Saturdays at the fields in Latrobe Park. Our players ages 3 – 7 (birth years 2015- 2018) will play on the grassy fields behind FSK school. Ages 8 & up will play on the Turf Field. Our older players will play one evening during the week as well.
Game times on the grassy fields will range from 9am – 2pm. Game times on the Turf Field will be 9am – 4pm.
Schedules will be available the end of August, beginning of September.
We are working with the City Parks & Recs to get various permits for other fields to have scheduled practices. If not, our Volunteer Coaches will schedule practices at a time and place convenient for them
The SBYSL Board is working hard to get an All Girls’ League started for this season. We had received interest in 2019 when we first started polling the league. Unfortunately, it was put on hold in 2020. This year we seem to have enough registered players in our 6-10 age groups to put a few teams together. Please stay tuned as we work this out and get finalized.
Your child’s registration fee covers their Uniform (shirt, shorts, socks). All players are required to have Shin Guards. Soccer cleats (non metal) are required for ages 5 & up. Our 3’s & 4’s can wear sneakers. A soccer ball is encouraged for practicing at home. (The ball is Size 3 (U5, U6), Size 4 (U7, U8,U10) or Size 5 (U14,U18 )). Please be sure the child’s name is on the ball if it is coming to the fields. Sometimes you may be able to find Soccer Packaged Bundles at sporting goods stores and Walmart & Target.
Many Thanks to all of you for your patience while we get our season in order
